CICS/TS Internals & Problem Determination

LENGTH OF COURSE:
3-5 Days

DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to be an overview of CICS/TS internals and transaction processing. The course will concentrate on problem determination and dump analysis. In addition, students will be given a guide to quickly find and resolve many CICS/TS Transaction and System Dumps. Paper Transactions dumps representing "Real Life" problems will be used and The IBM Interactive Problem Control System (IPCS) will be used for System Level problem evaluation.

PREREQUISITES: Knowledge of CICS/TS and CICS/TS coding experience.

INSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES: A combination of Lecture and Exercises. Students are encouraged to bring their own dumps to class.
