DESCRIPTION:
This intense three day course is designed to enhance the problem determination
and resolution skills of the on-line support team. Students will review
the new CICS/TS internal architecture and see how the internal structure
will impact the operation of CICS/TS transaction processing. Students will
use OMEGAMON and OMEGAVIEW to view control blocks and key system indicators.
In the event of the customer not using OMEGAMON and OMEGAVIEW, the instructor
will use the tools that are appropriate for the customer site. ABEND AID
will be used to show students how to identify critical application problems
and problem isolation.
PREREQUISITES: Basic understanding of the MVS environment and CICS/TS. INSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES: A combination of Lecture, Exercises and Labs (when/where available). |
