DB2 UDB for z/OS for Systems Programming Staff

DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to be a comprehensive overview and evaluation of DB2. The course will view the product from a systems perspective. Students will review the DB2 Architecture, Components, Facilities, Catalog and Attachments. In addition, the instructor will concentrate on the installation and setup of a DB2 subsystem and material relevant to problem determination for DB2 subsystem components.

PREREQUISITES: No prior knowledge of DB2 required.

INSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES: A combination of Lecture, Demonstration and Labs (when/where available).

AUDIENCE

This course is designed for Systems Programmers that have little or no experience with DB2. The course will begin with the fundamentals and conclude with advanced issues related to the processing of SQL request via DB2.
