DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to give students a detailed description of the differences between Sybase and DB2. The course will concentrate on the difference in Architecture, Objects, Internals, and Performance. In addition, students will review the DB2 Program Preparation Steps and how to monotor application operations and performance. During the course students will explore the feature of DB2 that are not in Sybase and vice versa. Students will have an opportunity to discuss conversion techniques and tools that can assist in the migration to DB2.
PREREQUISITES: Working knowledge of Relational Database Technology, Sybase Fundamentals, terminology and facilities. INSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES: A combination of Lecture, Exercises and Labs. |
