DESCRIPTION: Designed to be a comprehensive overview of OS/390 Job Control Language (JCL), this course presents JCL statements and their parameters. JCL for sequential and partitioned data sets is covered in detail. Students are exposed to OS/390 utilities and functions. The course concentrates on the utilization of JCL in the working environment and how to enhance working proficiency.

PREREQUISITES: Students should have an understanding of basic data processing concepts and have some exposure to TSO/ISPF. The course is designed for data processing professionals that will be using OS/390 JCL to submit control language to the OS/390 operating system.

INSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES: A combination of Lecture, Exercises and Labs (when/where available).
