VSAM Tuning

LENGTH OF COURSE:
1 Day

DESCRIPTION: This course covers the factors affecting VSAM performance and resource utilization, examines the interaction of critical VSAM components and discusses methods of ensuring an efficient VSAM environment. The materials presented in this course reflect the latest releases of VSAM, OS/390, and SMS.

PREREQUISITES: Students should have an understanding of VSAM concepts, terminology and IDCAMS.

INSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES: A combination of Lecture and Hands-On Labs (when/where available).

AUDIENCE
